Judy’s Junk Fest & Jubilee

September 21, 9-5 pm

We are celebrating Judy’s 50th year in business with our first annual Judy’s Junk Fest and Jubilee! The greenhouses will be filled with junk, repurposed junk, and quality art/craft vendors.

Enjoy a tasty buffet lunch from 11-2 and dinner 5-8 by The Prairie Bistro (reservations appreciated for dinner).

Live music by Dakota Drifters throughout the day. Specials on garden accessories and home decor. Stroll through the flower beds, relax with coffee, cheesecake, and good friends!

Harvest Dinner 2019

The days are shorter and nights are cooler and it’s time for our September dinner! We’ve got Homemade Apple Crisp with Homemade Ice Cream (dessert first?), new Flatbreads for starters, and our Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken breast, just to name a few items. The Prime Rib is always a hit, as are Mark’s Breaded Jumbo Shrimp.

Join us September 13 & 14, Friday and Saturday, from 5 to 8 pm. Stop at the Harvest Moon Festival in Mohall, come out for dinner, then go back to town for the Too Old To Stand Concert! Reservations recommended. Please bring your own adult beverages. 701-756-6441.

Dog Days of Summer Dinner 2019

Summer is winding down and our grill is heating up! Join us Friday, August 16, and Saturday, August 17, from 5 to 8 each night for dinner at The Prairie Bistro.

Try out our new Farmer’s Market Salad with Shallot Dressing and either Steak or Chicken. And we are celebrating summer with homemade ice cream!

June Events at The Flower House!

It is finally feeling like summer in north central North Dakota! So it’s time to join us at The Flower House and Sonja’s Prairie Bistro and Bakeshop for everyday lunch (Monday through Saturday 11-2 pm) or participate in one of the special events we are excited about.

Celebrate the Summer Solstice a day early with a summer-themed dinner and a few special activities. Make a flower head wreath to get you in the spirit! If the weather holds, we will be giving buggy rides, also.

We’ve moved our annual Garden Party up a few weeks to June 21. The flower beds should be starting to show their colors. Shop for specials on perennials and garden accessories. Check out our ever-changing inventory of home decor.  And sign up for door prizes!

Lunch at The Prairie Bistro!

Join us from 11-2 Wednesday through Friday through August 16 for a unique dining experience! After August 17 we are only open by special arrangement.

Homemade soups such as Grandma’s Chicken Noodle (yes, it really was Grandma Duerre’s recipe), Chicken Tortilla, Knoephla and Tuscana are a hit, as are our panini and BLTs. Signature salads include Mandarin Orange Chicken and Strawberry Walnut.

Don’t forget dessert! Cheesecake is served any time of the day, any day of the week. Favorites include Rhubarb Creme Delight and Caramel Pecan. If the cook has had time, you may also find Banana Cake or a Molasses Spice Cookie. 🙂

Valentine’s Dinner 2019

People, Pollinators and Plants – A Partnership that works!

Birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. They also sustain our ecosystems and produce our natural resources by helping plants reproduce. (http://pollinator.org/pollinators) Ken Eraas of the Ward County Extension Service shares information on plants and practices that attract these amazing creatures to our gardens and how to protect them!

The Twelve Wednesdays of Christmas!

Every Wednesday starting this September 19th and continuing up until Christmas we will be open to customers to come out and shop both the Flower House decor and Sonja’s baked goods. We will be open from 3-7pm!

Browse home decor, rugs, houseplants, antiques, holiday decorations, and more! We are getting in new items all the time!

Call your friends and stop out for a small bite and a hot cider while checking out our selection of cookies and candies.

Don’t need anything in particular? Stop out to visit anyway and see what we are up to! The coffee will be on!

A door prize will given away at the end of the season that you can enter every Wednesday that you stop in!
