In like a Lion

Yesterday dawned at -32 degrees. But that is good news. In like a Lion, out like a Lamb, right?

And it is official. Within the flimsy plastic walls of The Flower House Garden Center it is Spring! This afternoon I fired up the heaters. Tomorrow the girls get to get their hands dirty and start filling flats.

We will start seeding peppers, get the water system set up and install the temperature alarms. As soon as the first plants arrive, we’ll let you know!

Holiday Dinner

Holiday Dinner served November 29 & 30 at The Prairie Bistro!

Come out before the Parade of Lights or after on Friday night – 5 pm to 9 pm. Saturday we will serve from 5-8 pm.

Prime Rib while it lasts, as well as ribeye, Jumbo Shrimp, halibut and more!

Dessert includes Purely Pumpkin Cheesecake, Caramel Pecan Mini Cheesecakes and Prairie Parfaits.

Drinks will be providing the adult beverages.

Reservations appreciated but not required.

Harvest Dinner

Our Harvest dinner is scheduled for September 13 & 14 from 5 to 8 each night. Reservations are appreciated, but not required.

Menu includes: Prime Rib, Ribs, Ribeye, Grilled Shrimp, Hand battered Shrimp, Halibut, Sirloin, Sirloin and Shrimp, Jumbo Shrimp, Tuna, Chicken Breast and Hamburger.

Prairie Parfait, Caramel Pecan Cheesecake and Apple Crisp with Ice Cream will top off your meal!

It’s time for a little R&R at The Prairie Bistro! Sunday, June 30 through Sunday July 7 we will be closed to recharge our batteries. Monday, July 8 we will reopen for lunch from 11 to 1:30 Monday through Friday, closed Saturdays and Sundays until August 2.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for July 12 and 13th! We will be serving our evening meals from 5 to 8 both nights in conjunction with The Flower House Garden Center’s annual Garden Party! And, yes, we will serve lunch that Saturday, too. Check back for the menu and please call for reservations if possible.
