Just like our plants that are changing daily, so is the status of how COVID-19 is affecting our lives. Like everyone else, we are adjusting to the needs of our community and our business.

We have temporarily closed our dining area and greenhouse to protect and care for our work family, our customers, and the public.

We miss seeing you, but please know that we are still here working with a skeleton crew ensuring that when you are ready to garden, we will have what you need. If necessary, we will find a way to do curbside pickup or online shopping to satisfy your need for green and growing things.

When this all passes, we can distance ourselves from technology and reconnect face to face over a slice of cheesecake. A walk through the greenhouses and perennial gardens will do wonders for our souls.

Celebrate the change of seasons at The Prairie Bistro Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26, 5-8 pm. Harvest Dinner 2019

The days are shorter and nights are cooler and it’s time for our September dinner! We’ve got Homemade Apple Crisp with Homemade Ice Cream (dessert first?), new Flatbreads for starters, and our Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken breast, just to name a few items. The Prime Rib is always a hit, as are Mark’s Breaded Jumbo Shrimp.

Spring Fever Wednesdays

Our Wednesday lunches are back! We will be open once a week on Wednesdays from February 19th until we open full time starting April 8th. Join us for soup and sandwiches.

Learn the tricks to pressing Sandbakkels, rolling Berliner Kranser, frying Fattigmand, and more! Soni will share her family recipes for the Scandinavian sweets she grew up with as well as some tricks learned along the way.

Evergreen Pot Class

December 14, Saturday, 10 am

Create an evergreen masterpiece for your front door! We will provide the pot, greens, and dried materials. You may bring ornaments and/or ribbon to fit your own color scheme, if you choose. Or add them later. Barb from The Garden Center at Kenmare will show guide you in designing your own unique pot.

Sonja’s Prairie Bistro and Bakeshop will provide hot cider and a light meal to sustain you :).
