Time flies when you are having fun! We at The Flower House Garden Center have a hard time believing that the season has nearly come to an end.

It has been a strange spring. The weather has been cool and cloudy. But the false indigo (baptisia australis) is blooming its fool head off in front of the front yard!

The gas plant (dictanmus albus) in the display bed is screaming for attention.

Patty’s Plum oriental poppy is attracting attention at the gate.

They are all reminding us it is time to get out of the greenhouse and out into the sunshine!

So….. We are taking a break from June 29 through July 6. Not answering the phone. Not answering the door. Not making lunch. Just watering what needs it. Might take a couple flower pictures. Might plant a few of our own things. Maybe. Might pull a weed or two. Maybe.

Then we will be open from 10 am to 3 pm July 7-July 12. We will answer the phone. We will be happy to let you through the door. We will be tickled pink to help you with your gardening questions. We will even serve you lunch!

Our annual Garden Party is July 11 & 12. Sign up for door prizes, have lunch, check out our specials on garden accessories and perennials, stroll through the perennial beds and join us for dinner! Details will follow. 🙂

After July 13 we will be open by chance or appointment. But we will talk about that later.
